Urban Discomfort as part of the ongoing series Urban Dystopia reveals a growingly detached society. The project reflects the preposition that modern society is in a continuous state of detachment, and, as such, shows scenes of desolation and mirrors feelings of emptiness. "Throughout my work and especially in the ongoing series 'Urban Dystopia' I try to mold the ordinary into a new reality, revealing underlying themes of (social) isolation and anxiety. I document everyday urban life, but because of my thematic approach I tap into a second layer, often a layer of discomfort."
