Zero° follows ice swimmer Gilly McArthur over a few days in one of the UK's coldest winters for over 10 years. Our film follows Gilly, one of 28 cold water swimmers who swam everyday for a month to raise money for homeless charity Crisis. Due to the intense winter many homeless were at risk. Ice swimmers like Gilly seek out and swim in ice/freezing waters for a variety of reasons including; to assist with their mental health, to reduce the levels of stress and anxiety, to boost the immune system and improve circulation. Gilly states; "Swimming in the winter teaches you who you are".
