How can I accentuate certain details of this bicolored gerbera daisy without getting too close and lose perspective? I asked myself while trying different approaches. After several failed attempts I decided to use a single exposure and carefully applied lighting. It took me 138 shots to successfully emphasize the rings of small overlapping petals surrounding the central disk, as well as the yellow tips of the larger petals. This gave my gerbera daisy a dimensionality I couldn't see under regular light-of-day, and it also made it look (in my eyes) as if it was on fire.
