I live in Melbourne, Australia, where we’ve had severe restrictions placed on our movement during the Covid-19 Lockdowns - we're currently in our sixth. The lockdowns have reduced our world to a largely homebound existence. Small things – especially food – have assumed a much larger presence for me, and have helped me to cope with the restrictions. Seeing beauty in everyday objects is a common thread in my work, and whilst the Lockdown has been a difficult experience, it’s also given me time to re-focus on my immediate surroundings, and in so doing find wonder and solace.
