This project has taken me over a year and 10 months to complete. 1 of 3 prototype equipment from ALPA was used on some of the most pristine specimens from the private collection of the Natural History Museum of San Diego. Over an hour of specimen cleaning and lighting set up, 7 hours of continuous shooting, over 14 hours of converting the IIQ Phase One files to TIFF, over 10 hours to flatten the TIFF files and the most time spent on post production of 86 hours (average was 54 hours per specimen). This was the first time that insects were shot in such detail and on a medium format camera.
