The Empire State Building loves to show its beautiful Art Deco facade from almost every corner of Manhattan. As I was walking in Chelsea on Tenth Avenue in April of this year, I accidentally walked by this block, where a developer had literally made a cut-out from his building in order to maintain an open and continuous west-to-east view of the Empire State. The triangular geometry of the cut-out made for a beautiful setting for the stately Art Deco architecture of the Empire State Building. I gave the sky a teal color and the photo a graphic feel, as an ode to building's Art Deco glamour.
