Photographs taken in passing, of Chinese men and women, exploring the feeling of isolation in a rapidly growing urban environment in the most populous country in the world. Random moments on the road, inhabitants riding public transportation, introspection and observation of life on the other side of their window. Are they trying to comprehend the other? Are they trying to understand themselves or is it an empty gaze? One in one billion three hundred million, one among the masses. One in solitude, numbers disappear to let the individual look for its own path.
