A poignant moment in downtown Lusaka, Zambia observing an advertisement for a funeral home with two young boys passing by...a generation lost to the scourge of AIDS.

Story

While driving through downtown Lusaka, Zambia, I was struck by the large advertisement for a funeral home depicting traditional African village homes. What made the scene even more poignant were the two young boys passing the sign and the sense that a generation of African youth has been lost to the scourge of the AIDS epidemic. Furthermore, what is ideal about a funeral home when so many lives have been lost to a most dreadful disease.
