I hope that when people look at my photos they can almost feel the rhythm. I capture a sense of spontaneity, backstage moments. I like to document those behind-the-scenes moments that the audience doesn't normally see. I think they best reflect the character of the musicians over the run-of-the-mill concert photos. They are more emotional. I am looking for something more personal. I am interested in documenting the real moment that reflects the true atmosphere of the particular space and time. I capture the improvisation and creative process in jazz music. Photos are taken in NYC.
