‘To my huge surprise just eight years after my first trip to Kiribati it seems every family on the edge of the the atoll are not only building seawalls likely to be taken down in storms as fast as they are put up, but building land reclamation's to counter erosion that had eaten away their property. It’s possible the people of the small island states of the Pacific are the most victimised and furthest from the global debate on Climate Change and anecdotal evidence is a credible force in the climate wars’.
