HOMETOWN 1 This is a collection of pictures i took in contex of a research of a gated community in florida. Ive been going there my whole life and always shared a feeling between fascination and disgust. I am amazed by this fabricated illusion, created by the homeowners for the homeowners, restricted by laws and orders. I like the human condition of presenting themselves in the best way, even compromising freedom for the ideal look of a Tim Burton-ish little countryclub. This work was presented in a book, having to viewer almost comparing little details of the prefabricated shapes and colours of houses. Its amazing how Individualism can be less important than the image people have when they walk by and glance at your property.
