The Alpine Wall was a system of fortifications along Italy's northern frontier built in the years leading up to world war two. My research,begun on 2010 september and still in progress, is about some of these fortifications in the West Alpine Wall. These structures was intended to defend the Great Saint Bernard pass from an invasion by the France. Throught a series of polyptych, my project wants to put these structures into their natural cotext, as they seems, hidden by the vegetation. I'm almoust a wayfarer that, passing by these pathways, is wondering about the meaning of them...
