These portraits represent my two summers of conversation with yew trees. It’s their savageness that graspes me.Their respected age, they often passed the age of 850 and some are even over 1500 years old, make them amongst one of the longest living things on our planet. These Yew trees have seen it all, they lived it all through and it is very touching to be with them. With my head full of the stories and the legends that surround these wizzards I went for the first time to England and Wales in the summer of 2009 to portray them.
