Though the sounds of the Pacific are constant and unchanging, they bring the gamut of emotions to life in a way that is universally applicable. A storm passed through just before dark casting a brilliant glow over the water creating a scene that seemed to radiate emotion. This pier struck me as a vivid picture of how the ocean plays the magical role of a pathway that often takes us from our current situation to a heightened sense of self-awareness. It transforms even the most minute of situations into consuming and often pivotal moments in the lives of its visitors.
