The beauty of the pent up power in a tranquil body of water and the tempestuous potential veiled in a gentle breeze, are governed by one overriding invisible force - gravity. It controls our physical surrounds, our weather and ultimately the earth. Whyte brings years of visual analysis and observation from nature back into the studio to recreate it in a controlled space. Constructing a 3 x 4 metre pool in his studio, with an arsenal of bizarre wave generators, meticulously restrained lighting, and large format digital capture, Peter attempts to unveils the invisible.
