Serguei was photographed for an ongoing portrait project about artistic migrants and artists in motion. He is a mathematician, originally from Russia, who now lives and teaches in Canada and is currently engaged in an art project based on one of his mathematical theories. The photograph shows him in one of the university's classrooms that he usually teaches in.
