Celebrating the wonder of erosion and the essential liquidity of the American Southwestern landscape, these 3D stereoscopic images serve as mandalas for the meditative mind, calling attention to the active nature of seeing and inviting viewers to romp about in fascination among the fractal-scaling patterns of the Colorado Plateau. Red/Cyan glasses for 3D: inexpensive cardboard ones, in quantity, for screening venues; high-end ones for galleries. Each was captured on two separate film frames, in the tradition of Carleton Watkins, using a custom system that, uniquely, allows for tailored depth adjustment on-location. 5-ft-wide prints have been exibited and are available.
