G city is a project about the life and the culture of the Zabbaleen, a religious community of Coptic Christians who have served as Cairo's informal garbage collectors for the past 80 years. The largest Zabbaleen's settlement in Cairo is Mokattam village , nicknamed as "Garbage city” located at the foot of the Mokattam Mountains, sormounted by the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner, the largest church in the Middle East.
