In the nineteenth century the industrial revolution brought the rapid development to the Manchester and Salford.One of the owner of factory decided to transform the land in the residential area with great villas and houses.The area was developed as an estate for a businessman and their families. For the 50 years to area was elegant, opulent and bucolic. However pollution from the factories increased so badly that the inhabitants had to move to villages nearby. The flood completed the disaster. After 80 years the area is covered by forest with some traces of its history.
