The Domes of Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, UAE at different times of the day

Story

Islamic daily prayers (5) are dependent on times of day/evening and the location of the sun is vital to determining the time of most - and those times change daily in every place in the world.

Upon seeing the beautiful domes of Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, I wanted to photograph the abstract effect of the sun light on these domes (in a physical sense) and how their shapes, too, change with the location of the sun.

The fact that the "crescent" is an icon that represent Islam too (as we follow a Moon-based calendar) was an appreciated contrast as you see them on top of those domes
