A Portrait of Anne Hutchinson (1591-1642) is an exploration of my forbears among America’s earliest settlers. Anne Hutchison was tried for teaching a covenant of grace, which was tantamount to heresy, and was cast out of Massachusetts and later scalped and killed, with most of her family, by Indians.
