Paper Mountains is a series of photographs that explores the relationship we have to nature. Inspired from the travels I took to the vastness of the United States West Coast, the glaciers of Iceland and the mountains of New Zealand. I constructed the images, building on existing photographs taken on these journeys, into a series of fabricated landscapes with the folds, shadows and texture of the paper interacting with the original image. Within this body of work I am interested in exploring ways of questioning what we perceive as truth in image making.
