In June 2010, under the pressure of public opinion, four families of Miaoli Dapu in Middle Taiwan were promised they could retain their houses and farms. It was called Dapu imposition incident. Three years later, their houses were forcefully dismantled by Miaoli County in 18 July 2013 when they held a rally to protest against the government in northern Taiwan. The government didn't keep not only houses but also promises. Dapu Village protesters and their supporters start to protest and still continue till now.
