This series is from an ongoing project focused on swimmers. Water represents an uncontrollable and ever changing environment and swimmers are a symbol of adaptation and transformation. Although I have used mid-century modern bathing suits, mostly for their color and shape, there is nothing sentimental or nostalgic intended. The model's direct and unapologetic gaze and strong body language defines modern woman's strength and integrates the past and present.
