Dublar Island is located at the southern boarder of the Sundarbans, facing the Bay of Bengal at one the most southern points of Bangladesh. Fisherman congregate here for many months of the year to earn a living. At the same time a Hindu festival called the Rash Mela take place. Hindus believe that the Rash event is the ‘get-together’ of Radha and Lord Krishna.
