I create a series of images to represent the collective portrait of traditional oriental women, to probe into their roles under the constraints of ethics and rites in their culture environment. “Luo Shen Beauty” is a Chinese ancient legend, as well as a myth, which depicts a queen missed her dead husband too much then committed suicide by jumping into River Luo. People admired her fond love, esteemed her as a model of fidelity, and worshiped her as the Goddess of River Luo. But in the viewpoint of today, this woman (traditional women) has no ego at all. Her life totally depends on male's salvation.
