Lynx Vilden, is a modern-day cavewoman who is one of the hubs of the Paleolithic skills movement. Every summer for the last 10 years Lynx has organized something called the “Stone Age Living Project” during which she leads a small clan of people into the wilderness to see how long they can survive with only primitive technologies. Lynx and the other wildlings say they are trying to recover an ancient life-way that can resolve the tensions between human technology and wild nature. They’re hoping to return to the Pleistocene from the post-modern present. As Lynx likes to say, “After four months preparing, we go time-traveling.”
