For centuries, Azerbaijan has been the dwelling place of different ethnic groups. National ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan represent nearly ten percent of the population. Besides Azerbaijani Turks, Mountain Jews, Tats, Talishis, Kurds, Molokans, Ingiloys, Tsakhurs, Avars, Lezgins, Khynalygs, Buduqlus, Grizs and other ethnic groups live in its territory. These People mainly settled in the remote mountain villages. Some of them have its unique language. Such national ethnics partially assimilated over time.
